Videos received by Iran International show the mourning dance of the family of Immortal Abolfazl Kia at his funeral. Kia, a 27-year-old, was killed on January 9 by direct gunfire from repressive forces in Chamestan.

Child of Iran and Martyr of the homeland, Immortal Abolfazl Kia, 27, single, employed at a real estate agency, was killed by a rifle bullet on the evening of Friday, 9 January 2026 in the Chamestan protests. That same night he had initially been wounded by shot pellets to the face and body, but he returned to the crowd of protesters and, a few hours later, died from a rifle bullet wound.
