The 40th-day ceremony for Immortal Amirhossein Shakerami, the 22-year-old killed protester, was held on 23 Bahman (12 February 2026) in Khorramabad with people in attendance and under heavy security. He was killed on 18 Dey (8 January 2026) during the Malard popular protests by direct fire of live ammunition from government forces, and his body was taken out of the morgue by his relatives and transferred to his hometown.
