Abbas Eshaqi, a mountaineer and conqueror of several high peaks in Iran, was shot with live ammunition by agents of the Islamic Republic and killed on the evening of Thursday, 8 January 2026 in Tehran. According to reports received, the body of Immortal Eshaqi was not handed over to his family after they went to the hospital. His body was buried after three days.
