“My son... Your absence is heavier than any pain that can be spoken. My heart is comforted by your photos and by memories that never die.” #ايلیا_دهقانی

For months I have been writing and reading about the Immortals of the national revolution; I have seen the bodies, watched the Kahrizak and hospital videos many times, but Ilia Dehghani’s last words made me cry badly. Damn the Islamic Republic that silenced these smiles and these children, and left fathers and mothers alone with their memories. Dad? Yes, my dear? Don’t worry I love you #ایلیا_دهقانی #IranMassacre

Immortal of the Iranian national revolution “Ilia Dehghani” was targeted on the evening of January 9 during the protests in Tehranpars, Tehran, by a live round fired by a sniper stationed on a rooftop. His name will remain in the memory of this land, and his remembrance is a guiding light for lovers of freedom.
